Enter the great beauty The Apia Antica, Sunday, May 14, with the second edition of the Appia Day after the great success of last year.
A great folk festival that will rediscover, rigorously on foot and by bike, the most famous of the Roman streets and monuments.
The events that will animate the festival will focus above all on the Roman section of the ancient consular office between the former Latina Carpenter and the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella: from the extraordinary opening of monuments ready to unveil their beauty and their secrets thanks to special guides , Walks and bicycle archeotours, from music to children’s activities (with creative recycling labs and pedaling in the Caffarella Valley), then going to the theatrical performances, at the photographic exhibition with the documents of the Cederna Archive To Bove’s Head and to the entertaining initiative “Instantmeet – Telling Appiah”.
There will also be a chance to get to know the route of the GRAB, the Grande Raccordo Anello delle Bici, the cyclopedonian greenway capitoline that has its most prestigious trait in the archaeological walk from Piazza Venezia to the Apulia Antica.
And from the heart of the ancient Appia, on Sunday 14th May, will take the Appia Trail Street, an 8-day journey that will arrive to Santa Maria Capua Vetere by meeting local operators, institutions and communities with events organized on the territory.
