Colosseum: Underground again open to visitors

After the closure due to the pandemic from Covid-19, even the Colosseum undergrounds are once again accessible to the public.

In fact, last September 1st there were changes in the ticketing for the Colosseum and now, while the ART ticket for access only in the afternoon to the Colosseum and Roman Forum is no longer available, there is instead the new ticket which, in addition to the Forum Roman and Palatine Hill (including SUPER sites), it also allows access to the Colosseum underground.

In summary, therefore, in order to visit the Colosseum there are between types of tickets:
ordinary ticket , valid for 24 hours and which allows access to the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and the first two floors of the Colosseum, with entrance from the “Sperone Valadier”

ticket Full Experience Arena , valid for 2 days from first use and which allows access to the Colosseum (first two floors), Arena del Colosseo, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill + SUPER sites, with entrance to the “Varco Stern”. The Palatine Roman Forum can also be accessed on the same day or the next day

It is also possible to visit the Colosseum more fully thanks to this 3-hour guided tour that will give you access to both the arena and underground.
