Free events of the super spring weekend
The super weekend of spring begins on Saturday, April 28th and ends on Tuesday 1st May, and there are many free events (and not) scattered around Rome.
Starting from the #GelatoFestival 2018 that, during all four days from 11.00 to 19.00, will bring to Villa Borghese (in via delle Magnolie) 16 of the best artisan ice cream makers of Italy, each with their own tasty creations.
A unique opportunity to discover the secrets of the world of ice cream between tastings, themed initiatives and educational workshops to the whole of the three large 13-meter food trucks, including the “Buontalenti” which is the largest mobile ice cream production laboratory in the world.
A € 10 ticket will give you the right to taste all the ice creams present.

The traditional exhibition of # 100pittoridiviamargutta , which has reached its 108th edition, has already begun in Via Margutta until May 1st.
The festival is open every day from 9.00 to 21.00
Sunday morning, then, as the last Sunday of April, the Vatican Museums will be open for free; with last admission at 12.30.
While it is already open and more and more colors and scents are being purchased, the municipal rose garden with its more than 1000 varieties of botanical roses, ancient and modern from all over the world.
Finally, to complete this long spring weekend there will be Tuesday, May 1 in Piazza San Giovanni the classic Concert of the First of May # 1M2018 , the largest free live music event in Italy.
Presented this year by Ambra Angiolini and Lodo Guenzi, will see the participation among others of Gianna Nannini, Max Gazzè & Form, Ermal Meta and Carmen Consoli.
The concert will be broadcast on Raitre from 15 to 24 and from 16 will also be broadcast on Radio2.
For the occasion the underground exit of Piazza San Giovanni will be closed.
