The summer 2020 in Italy will be remembered forever as the post COVID-19 summer with many events canceled or moved, and the reopening to the public of the Colosseum and all the other monuments after the blockade of March, April and May.
In Rome, if many summer events such as the Tiber Expo , The Island of Cinema or the Rock in Rome have been canceled and many concerts, like that of Vasco Rossi at Circo Massimo, they have been moved to 2021, many exhibitions and spring openings have been moved or extended throughout the summer. For example, the exhibition on Raffaello at the Scuderie del Quirinale or the one on Sergio Leone at Ara Pacis open until one end of August in the Giardini di Ninfa and the Botanical Garden open all summer until November.
In this summer 2020 above all there will be an unrepeatable opportunity to enjoy the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Trevi Fountain and the other beauties of Rome and its historic center without the typical crowd of summer days in Rome.
In fact, the Colosseum can be accessed by a limited number of people every day so if on the one hand there will be few tickets available ( bookable here ), on the other hand the visit will be much more peaceful and enjoyable.
The same thing applies to other monuments in Rome such as the Pantheon , the Vatican Museums , the basements of Piazza Navona or Castel Sant’Angelo
