The Colosseum
"As long as the Colosseum, there will Rome when the Colosseum falls, Rome will also fall, but when Rome falls, the world will fall"

Legends about Colosseum
According to some medieval myths it seems that the Colosseum represents the entrance that leads directly to the underworld, where, at dusk, the souls of the deceased wander in search of eternal peace that perhaps they will never find, because they perished in a violent and premature way.

Another legend states that many plants from distant countries, which have taken root in the Colosseum area, were brought by the sandals of travelers or by the paws of animals sacrificed by evil emperors.

Another curious legend states that the Colosseum was a sort of diabolical temple complete with sorcerers who asked the followers the following question: "Colis Eum" which means "Adore Him", referring to the devil; hence the name Coliseum.
